If you fancy taking on the challenge at a slightly slower pace, then why not walk the route instead. It’s still a challenge so is a great platform to test yourself, fundraise or to spend time with friends.

The two day challenge includes your pitch fee for your tent (which you provide and we transport to the Event Village), meal voucher, showers and entertainment at night. If you fancy only one day then the finish of day one and the start of day two will be from the Event Village in Ravenglass. Use the coastal railway to get to/from the venue.

Event Info

  • Date

    Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st March 2021

  • Venue

    The route will start in Millom near the Millom Recreation Centre on Saturday with the second day starting from Ravenglass.

  • Registration

    Registration for the race will take place in the Event Village located at the Millom Recreation Centre (which will be fully signed). On Sunday registration Please note, race numbers will not be posted out in advance of the event.

  • Time

    The walking challenge start at 0800 hours on Saturday to maximise the amount of daylight.

  • Travel

    There is no designated parking for the event but there is plenty of on-street parking. We’re also encouraging the use of the train to and from the start/finish and if demand is there we will also put on buses.

  • Mandatory Kit

    Mobile phone (to call the Challenge Director) in case of emergency, foil blanket. For all events, a collapsable drinking cup/bottle/hydration pack. Use common sense in your kit selection based on the weather.

  • Checkpoints

    We will have checkpoints every 10km (approximately). These will provide water in water butts/compostable cups.

  • Plastic-free

    As a company, we’ve made a commitment to be single-use plastic free at all our events where possible by 2020. We’d appreciate your assistance as we fight to reduce the damage to our planet.

  • Goody Bag

    Everyone loves a goody bag and we’re no different. Medal, t-shirt & a selection of other nice stuff.

  • Event Village

    The heart of the walking challenge is the Event Village at Ravenglass.
